Three Stage Water Filter

3-Stage Water Filters Used with Hydro-Chi~ Electrochemical reduced water machine

Filtration is the first step to good-tasting healthier water.

This 3-Stage Filter set is included with Hydro-Chi. It consists of one sediment filter and two activated carbon filters mounted onto a study metal frame. Holes in the white metal frame make it easy to mount under the sink.

In addition to these 3 filters, the Hydro-Chi also has an internal ultra filter which cleans the water to .01μm. This process occurs before electrolysis takes place.

The Hydro-Chi filters need to be replaced every 12 months or 12,000 liters of water. The amount of water dispensed is recorded on the Hydro-Chi display panel on the machine. Depending upon the quality of your water, you might need to replace the filters sooner.

Ultra Filter Replacement Filter

No tools are needed to replace the Ultra filter which is located in the back of the Hydro-Chi. Simply remove the back cover on the Hydro-Chi; push down on the used filter--this will allow you to tilt the filter forward. Once the filter is tilted forward just remove the used filter from its spring-loaded carriage.

Insert the new Ultra water filter inside the Hydro-Chi.
Remove the plugs from the top and bottom of the new filter housing. With the back cover removed from the machine, follow the arrow directions on the new water filter to assure correct insertion. Press down on the filter as you insert the filter into the machine then lock it into place. Replace the back cover. Allow water to flow through the machine for 10 minutes before plugging into electric outlet.

Note: Upon initial installation and any time the Ultra filter has been replaced inside the machine, allow water to flow through the Hydro-Chi for 10 minutes before drinking any of the dispensed water.

Sediment Replacement Filter

The sediment filter removes suspended matter such as sand, silt, loose scale, clay, or organic materials from the water source. Sediment filters are needed, not because sediment is particularly dangerous or unhealthy, but because sediment can damage the Hydro-Chi by adding unneeded debris and organic waste by products that need to be removed.

Activated Carbon Filters

Activated carbon filtration can effectively reduce chemicals including solvents, pesticides, and industrial waste by-products. Undesired chemicals in drinking water can pose health risks if they are present in quantities above EPA health advisory levels.

Change all 3 filters when:
• The water flow rate remains below .8l- this indicates that the filters are clogged with sediment and/or other contaminates.
• The water flow remains below .5l and the warning and beeping cannot be corrected by adjusting the ball valve.

Change the 2 Carbon Filters (filters 2 & 3) when: Chlorine can be smelled or tasted in the drinking water- this indicates that those two filters have reached the filtration capacity.
